Neneki “Nick” McGee is a self taught artist from Los Angeles who began to love art at a very young age. He sold his first drawings in Elementary school. It was an original drawing of Michael Jackson and several prints that he got his teacher to photocopy. Then in Junior High School he fell in love with airbrushing because of the vibrant colors. He soon begged his mother to buy him an airbrush gun and compressor. He taught himself how to airbrush by reading books and lots of practice. He has spent most of his life bettering his craft, not knowing the wonderful journey his art would take him. He has won several awards with his paintings & his art has been in demand around the world. He has been a trendsetter in fashion with his airbrushed portraits on t-shirts. His work has been featured in Hip Hop music videos & photo shoots. He started www.Artistic-Graphics.com which keeps him connected with clients from the West to the East Coast of the United States, to Canada, Germany, The United Kingdom, & Asia. He was the first airbrush artist to become a EBAY powerseller. He is now being featured in Art Galleries with his fine art. He was featured in the art show "Colors To Life Beautiful" which features world renouned artist inspired by Alice Walker's "The Color Purple". This art show ran in conjunction with Oprah Winfrey's "The Color Purple" Musical Los Angeles run at The 626 Art Gallery. He is now a permanent artist at The 626 Art Gallery. His next show is a solo show called "The Art, Passion, & Soul of Neneki "Nick" McGee" and will take place August 30th 2008 4pm-9pm at The 626 Art Gallery -626 S. Spring St., Los Angeles, CA 90014.
